Abigail Cooper is an artist based in London, UK (b.1995).
Her work considers narratives of gender and identity – analysed visually, physically and psychologically.
Human portrait and nature dominate as subjects in her work, with a suggestion toward the conflation of pigment, social status and gender. Cooper highlights the ubiquitous pressures on human civilisation, created by western consumerism.
Cooper graduated from Bristol UWE with a BA in Fine Art in 2017.
She has exhibited at Spike Island Gallery and was awarded the Leckford Scholarship for Art and Barrington Ward Art Scholarship, d'Overbroecks School, Oxford.
